One interface. Your choice of language model.

Nexelem AI uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to give language models access to Nexelem data in a standardised way. You can run a local model on-premises, or use a cloud model if your company’s security policy allows it. There is no need to rebuild Nexelem every time you want to use a different AI technology.

The AI model gets access to the data it can work with, while Nexelem remains the system that stores that data and interprets it according to your production logic.

AI does not replace the planning logic.

Nexelem AI is a data access and analysis layer. It is not an APS engine, and it does not make decisions on behalf of the system or the people who use it.

Schedules are still created by Nexelem’s deterministic algorithm made in Europe, which works to the rules, parameters and objectives defined for each individual plant. The same data and the same parameters always produce the same result.

What AI can do is explain where a given plan came from, point out dependencies in the data or help you analyse an alternative scenario.
